This Week's Recycling Event Progressed as Follows:

This week’s recycling developments are as follows:

[Inner Mongolia Scrap Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Arrives] Recently, the People’s Government of Horqin Right Front Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, released the first environmental impact assessment announcement for the “Xing’an League Huayi Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. Scrap Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project.” The project will be located in the Horqin Right Front Banner Industrial Park, Xing’an League, Inner Mongolia, and plans to build a complete system that includes one lithium battery second-life application production line, one scrap lithium battery crushing-pyrolysis-sorting production line, and one scrap solar panel recycling and processing line, all equipped with supporting facilities.

[Anhui 50,000 mt End-of-Life Power Battery Recycling Project Lands] Recently, the Lu’an Ecological Environment Bureau of Anhui province officially released the pre-approval public notice for the environmental impact report of the “Anhui Lüwo Circular Energy Technology Co., Ltd. End-of-Life Power Battery Recycling Project,” signaling that the project is about to enter substantive construction. Once operational, the project is expected to process up to 50,000 mt of end-of-life lithium batteries annually, effectively alleviating the environmental pressure posed by the large volume of scrap batteries currently on the market.

[Feicheng, Shandong 100,000 mt Lithium Battery Physical Recycling Project Arrives] Recently, the public notice for the environmental impact report (draft for comments) of the “Shandong Fengrong New Materials Co., Ltd. 100,000 mt Lithium Battery Physical Recycling Project” attracted widespread industry attention. The company will introduce five advanced scrap lithium battery recycling lines and two dedicated lines for processing waste lithium battery pole pieces. Upon completion and commissioning, the project will have the capacity to process 70,000 mt of scrap lithium battery materials and 30,000 mt of waste lithium battery pole pieces annually.

[Ganzhou 30,000 mt Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling and Reuse Project Undergoes Major Technological Upgrade] Recently, the Ganzhou Administrative Approval Bureau of Jiangxi province issued a proposed approval notice for the environmental impact assessment documents of the “Jiangxi Gerun New Materials Co., Ltd. 30,000 mt Scrap Lithium Battery Recycling and Reuse Technological Transformation Project (Re-submission).” The project has a total investment of 8.8 million yuan, and the upgraded line will be equipped with two fully enclosed in-feed crushing systems.

[50,000 mt Lithium Battery Cathode Recycling Project Arrives] Recently, the Quzhou Ecological Environment Bureau of Zhejiang province announced that it has formally accepted the environmental impact report for the “Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Materials Co., Ltd. Lithium Battery Cathode Non-Ferrous Smelting and Valuable Metal Recovery Project.” Using the scandium-containing residue from the existing 50,000 mt Phase I nickel project as raw material, the project will be built as an auxiliary unit without altering the production flow or process of the main facility, demonstrating the enterprise’s innovative breakthrough in comprehensive resource utilization.

[5,000 mt Lithium Carbonate Project Announced] Guizhou Dalong Economic Development Zone recently disclosed the "First Information Disclosure on the Environmental Impact Assessment of CNGR Tongren Base's 5,000 mt per Year Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Construction Project." CNGR Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. plans to invest 22.45 million yuan to construct one production line with an annual output of 5,000 mt of battery-grade lithium carbonate within the existing Environmental Protection Workshop No. 3 at the base. This marks another strategic move by CNGR in the lithium carbonate sector following the full ramp-up and effective operation of its "10,000 mt per year battery-grade lithium carbonate production line" last year.

[Power Battery Recycling Project Lands in Ganzhou, Jiangxi] The Longnan Municipal Government recently released information related to the second environmental impact assessment public notice for the Phase I power battery flash-crushing recycling project of Juhefeng (Ganzhou) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Driven by substantial market demand, Juhefeng (Ganzhou) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. intends to invest 20 million yuan to construct the Phase I power battery flash-crushing recycling project. The project will primarily engage in the recycling of scrap lithium-ion power batteries, aiming to achieve an annual processing capacity of approximately 11,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries.

[New Progress on Lithium Battery Recycling Project Exceeding 40,000 mt] Hongxing Electronics invested 430 million yuan to commence construction in April this year on a scrap lithium battery disassembly recycling production line project covering an area of approximately 148,400 m². The project includes production workshops for disassembling scrap lithium batteries, reaction refining, synthesis, evaporation crystallization, purification, and related auxiliary facilities. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to triple the company's current annual scrap battery processing capacity, enabling the annual recycling of 43,900 mt of scrap lithium power batteries.
